Members of the Renmore Pantomime Society Committee presented representatives from Operation Walk with a cheque for €6,500, proceeds from the charity raffle held during the recent production of Aladdin.

Operation Walk our chosen charity this year, is an Irish based charity who’s mission is to perform hip and knee replacements on patients who would not normally have access to this life changing surgery.
The team including professionals from Galway Clinic, GUH, Bons Secour and Cross Street Dental are travelling in March 2020. All members of the team are completing this task on a voluntary basis and are paying their own flights and accommodation. This costs up to €1500 per person to travel to Hanoi in Vietnam. They are giving their time to complete 100 knee and hip operations whilst providing expertise advice, education and supervised training to the local doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and healthcare workers.

We want to thank everyone who supported our charity raffle this year and contributed to this great cause. We wish the team the very best of luck on their mission.
